Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away on Sunday, coming as a shock to the film industry and several fans.
Members of the film fraternity took to social media to share their condolences to the family and mourn the actor.
Popular columnist and novelist Shobha De has been receiving backlash on social media for her Tweet mourning the death of Megastar Chiranjeevi instead of Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja.
The Tweet shared by her, which was later deleted, reads, “One more shining star…gone! Just like that…what a tragic loss! Condolences to the bereaved family.”. The Tweet was shared along with an image of the ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ actor. Outraged netizens called out the mistake and demanded apologies to the actor and his fans.
Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja had acted in 22 films during his career. The actor, who according to reports suffered a cardiac arrest, breathed his last on the 7th of June.
