EXCITING: SELVARAGHAVAN INTERESTED TO DO THE SEQUEL OF THIS FILM

Dhanush's Pudhupettai has a cult fan following and the film is indeed a treat for all the ardent cinema followers. The film was directed by Selvaraghavan, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The fans have been eagerly waiting for the sequel of Pudhupettai and the acclaimed director was always asked to comment on his plans for the sequel, whenever he interacted with the fans.
 

In his recent tweet, director Selvaraghavan revealed that he is more interested to do the sequel of Aayirathil Oruvan, more than Pudhupettai. He tweeted, "வெளியே எங்கு சென்றாலும் நண்பர்கள் ‘புதுப்பேட்டை  2 ‘எப்போது ? என்று அன்பாய் கேட்கின்றனர். நடக்கும் என சொல்வேன். ஆயின் என் மனதுக்குள் கேட்கும் தீரா ஓசை “ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவன் 2 “ எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்பதுதான்.சோழன் பயணம் தொடர வேண்டும் என்பது என்னுள் புதைந்து கிடக்கும் நீண்ட நாள் தாகம்."

His tweet is roughly translated as, "Wherever I go, my friends and fans ask me about Pudhupettai 2 with love and affection. I will assure them that it will happen. However, my never ending interest and aspiration is to make Aayirathil Oruvan 2. It is my biggest thirst to showcase the journey of the Chozhan."

Aayirathil Oruvan, starred Karthi, Reema Sen, and Andrea in the lead roles, with Parthiepan in an important role. G.V.Prakash scored the music for this historical epic fantasy drama.
