SATHYARAJ ON WHY HE TURNED DOWN SIVAJI AND ENDHIRAN OPPOSITE RAJINIKANTH

Satyaraj and Shankar first paired up for the Vijay starrer Nanban. However, they could have teamed up earlier as well - Satyaraj was approached for both Sivaji and Endhiran with the Superstar, but the actor turned down the roles.

In a throwback interview to The Hindu, he had explained, "After a film of the calibre of Mr Bharath with Rajnikanth, I couldn't settle for anything less. So I didn't accept Sivaji. Similarly, Danny Denzongpa's character in Endhiran couldn't lure me. Come on, you do agree, don't you."

In the same interview, he had also mentioned that he was to do Mani Ratnam's Iruvar but didn't materialise. Here's hoping to see Satyaraj and Rajinikanth together on-screen, very soon.
