Following the tragic suicide of producer Ashok Kumar, actor Sasikumar allegedly filed an extortion case against popular financier turned producer Anbu Chezhian for extorting money from his family.

He was apparently spotted at Valasaravakkam Police Station along with directors Bala, Ameer and Samuthirakani to lodge against Anbu Chezhian for extorting money and forcing his brother-in-law (Ashok) to commit suicide.
