SARKAR - TAMIL NADU BOX OFFICE REPORT

Thalapathy Vijay's Sarkar released for Diwali on November 6. The film is produced by Sun Pictures, directed by AR Murugadoss and has music by AR Rahman.

Needless to say, like most of Vijay's other films, Sarkar too had a massive opening. The film had early morning shows and ran full houses throughout, thereby setting the box-office on fire.

Our sources have given us an approximation of the collections from the different regions in Tamil Nadu. Firstly, the Chennai city region has grossed around 2.3 crores.

The collections in Chengalpet is said to be 7 crores, Coimbatore - 5 crores, Trichy -3.5 crores, Madurai - 4.5 crores, North & South Arcot - 2.5 crores, Salem - 3 crores, and the Tirunelveli-Kanyakumari region is said to have grossed around 2 crores. From Tamil Nadu, the approximate total collections come up to Rs.30 crores.
