As reported earlier, director/producer Vetri Maaran will be producing a film titled Sanga Thalaivan under his banner Grassroot Film Company. His longtime associate Manimaran will be helming the project, which features Samuthirakani, Karunaas, Aram fame Sunulakshmi and Vijay TV fame Ramya in important roles.

The story of Sanga Thalaivan is adapted from a popular novel ‘Thariyudan’ authored by Bharathinathan. The novel is based on the key industries across westerns districts of Tamil Nadu – Salem, Coimbatore and Erode. It delves deep into the issues involving the key industries of this region. Now the big news is that the shooting of Sanga Thalaivan has commenced today.
