WHAT HAPPENED TO SANDAKOZHI 2?

After a series of reports, rumors and an official confirmation from director Lingusamy, there has been a sudden standstill over the discussions about the famous sequel of Sandakozhi.

Earlier we had reported that Keerthy Suresh is a strong contender in playing the female lead alongside Vishal, who stole the show in the first installment. Now it looks like she has apparently been roped in to play Vishal's lady love. An official confirmation is awaited regarding this.

Director Lingusamy had confirmed that his next project would definitely be Sandakozhi 2 but Vishal has been busy with Kaththi Sandai and Irumbu Thirai. Kaththi Sandai, co-starring Tamannaah, Vadivelu and Soori has been confirmed for a Pongal 2017 release. Sandakozhi 2 is expected to go on floors by the 3rd week of January.

Meanwhile, director Lingusamy had also announced a Tamil-Telugu bilingual project starring Allu Arjun. But it seems like this film will go on floors only after the completion of Sandakozhi 2.

It is expected that Sandakozhi 2 will be completed at a fast pace. Can we expect another action-romance entertainer from Lingusamy and Vishal?
