'MOST PROBABLY THE FILM WILL RELEASE AFTER DIWALI'

Naadodigal directed by Samuthirakani was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2009. The film featured Sasikumar along with Chennai 600028 fame Vijay Vasanth and Bigg Boss Bharani in lead roles, with newcomers Ananya and Abhinaya Deva enacting the lead female.

The plot focuses on a trio who attempt to unite their friend with his lover against the wishes of all families involved, and at a heavy cost to themselves, only to realize that the lovers separate after a short while.

Sasikumar and Samuthirakani are currently working on the 2nd part of Naadodigal. Speaking to Behindwoods, Samuthirakani talked about the status and the core plot of Naadodigal 2.

"It's almost ready, about 90 - 95% of the film is ready. I have prepared it like a Dum Biriyani. Since we have a flurry of new releases every week. We are hiding low for now. Most probably Naadodigal 2 will release after Diwali.

Naadodigal 2 is not a sequel, it doesn't have any continuation to the first part. This is a fresh script but it will carry the same flavour that the first part had that talks about the difficulties involved in love."
