SAMUTHIRAKANI DONS A NEW KAAKI IN THIS FILM!

National award winner, Samuthirakani, who impressed us with his performances in Visaaranai and Appa is awaiting the release of Kolanji. His next venture as the lead actor is in the film “Aan Devadhai” directed by Thamira of Rettai Suzhi fame. Joker’s heroine Ramya Pandian plays the female lead.

The latest update about his character is that he plays an auto driver and a single parent of a daughter. The film talks about the effects of globalisation and urbanisation in the life of a common man and the differences between a child brought up by a single mother and a single father. Vijay Milton handles the camera and Mu.Kasi Viswanathan is in charge of editing.

The film’s shoot is in full swing at the Marina beach,Chennai. Interestingly, the friendship between director Thamira and Samuthirakani dates back to the time when both of them assisted veteran director K.Balachander.
