Actress Samantha Akkineni has been receiving a lot of applause for her role as 'Raji' in Family Man season 2. This is her OTT debut and she was seen playing Srikant Tiwari's (Manoj Bajpayee) arch-nemesis and a Sri Lankan Tamil rebel soldier.
She was also involved in high-tension action sequences which required her to push her body to the maximum extent. Samantha has revealed what it took to do her own stunts in the show. She thanked her stunt choreographer Yannick Ben for training her and perform all her stunts in the show and mentioned about her fear for heights.
Sharing a small video where she was involved in a fight sequence with a man, she said, "A special special thankyouuuu to my person @yannickben for training me to do all of my own stunts (yes all of them ).. for pushing me to give it my all even when every part of my body ached (thanks for the pain killers by the way ) .. I have a solid fear of heights but I jumped off that building only because I knew you had my back."
Here's her post:
Earlier, she posted a picture of herself with Raj & DK and wrote that she "was aware that portraying Raji's character required sensitivity and balance" and she wants "Raji's story to be a stark, much-needed reminder to come together as humans to fight hate, oppression, and greed."
The second season which was released after nearly two years, stars Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Samantha Akkineni, Sharib Hashmi and tamil actors like Mime Gopi, Ravindra Vijay and Devadarshini Chetan in the main roles.
