Somen Banerjee was a Bengali immigrant known for his entrepreneurial prowess in the US during the 80s after he started a nightclub called “Chippendales’, best known for its male stripteasers. While that was a revolution then in Los Angeles, Salman Khan is now all set to create a revolution based on that here. The Dabangg hero is going to produce a film that will serve as a biopic on Mr.Somen, who had committed suicide on October 23, 1993.
Confirming this to a popular daily the actor said, “A Bengali man, who moved from India to America in the late 60s, struggled and created one of America's most iconic brands. We are going to tell the story of Somen Banerjee, a man driven by fierce ambition, on celluloid." Well, Bollywood sure loves biopics.
