Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be playing the lead role in director Prabhu Deva's forthcoming action film Dabangg 3, the third installment to the iconic Dabangg series. The actor is set to reprise the role of Chulbul Pandey, the unconventional cop, for the third time in the film.
Apart from Salman Khan, Dabangg 3 also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjarekar and Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep in main roles. It is noted that Salman Khan has also co-written the film's script
Produced by Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi, the film is set to release on December 20. It is noted that well-known production company KJR Studios will be distributing the film in theatres across Tamil Nadu.
The team had a special press meet yesterday in Chennai for the promotion of the Tamil version of the movie and the ace actor Salman Khan said that he has really good memories about Chennai and that he likes making remakes of good south Indian films. He also added that Rajini, Kamal and Vikram's films run very well over there and that he is looking forward to Dabangg having a great run here in Tamilnadu.
The humble actor also stated that he is a huge fan of Rajini and that he went to the 2.0 audio launch as an uninvited guest. "Rajini sir himself was shocked" said Salman. About the director, he said "Prabhu Deva is a man of few words, but a master blaster when it comes to direction and dance."
