Bollywood director Sajid Khan, who has made hit films like the Housefull series, was recently put against sexual harassment allegations from a few actresses and an assistant director.
Earlier today, Akshay Kumar put out a statement that he has requested the producers of Housefull 4, his upcoming project with Sajid, to keep the shooting on hold until the sexual harassment allegations receive clarity.
Now, Sajid Khan has come out to make a statement that he would be stepping down as the director of Housefull 4. He took to Twitter to speak about this issue. The following is his statement:
"
In the wake of the allegations against me and the pressure being put on my family, my producer and the stars of the film Housefull 4, I must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directorial post, till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth. I request my friends in the media to kindly not pass judgment till the truth is out.”
It is to be noted that Nana Patekar, who was also alleged for sexual assault by actress Tanushree Dutta, is a part of the cast of Housefull 4.
