Vijay Antony's Saithaan directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy is gearing up for its release this Diwali and with the songs ready, the team is planning for the audio launch.
It is reported that they have 2 dates in their plan, it might be on Oct 14th or Oct 15th for this Vijay Antony musical. There is a good buzz around this project, especially after the teaser release which was well received. Also, Saithan is Vijay Antony's next after his sleeper hit Pichaikaaran and there is a good expectation always for his choice of scripts.
But is Diwali a good release window with many films like Kodi, Kashmora, Kathi Sandai, Saithaan & Kaduvul Irukan Kumaru eyeing the same date? We experienced a similar situation during Pongal this year with 4 releases leading to screen space issues.
Sources inform us that the team Saithaan is also having a backup plan to release on November 11th eyeing a solo or less competitive release window after 2 weeks run to the Diwali releases. This sounds like a good plan, but official confirmation on this is awaited. Auraa Cinemas are taking care of the distribution.
Vijay Antony's another film Yemen, funded by Lyca Productions is also close to completion with a few post-production works pending, including Vijay Antony's dubbing. The film is planned for a December release.
