MAKKAL SUPERSTAR-MSKS DIRECTOR APOLOGIZES

Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva directed by Sai Ramani featuring Raghava Lawrence and Nikki Galrani released yesterday, on the 9th March. The credits had a prefix of Makkal Superstar for hero Raghava Lawrence which caught the attention of the audience.

Lawrence was quick to clarify on this and said that only Rajinikanth can be the Superstar and that he (Lawrence) would henceforth be called as Kanmani Raghava Lawrence taking his mom’s name first. Lawrence had also mentioned that he was not aware of the title Makkal Superstar and stated that his director Sai Ramani had mentioned that there is going to be a surprise for him.

Today, Sai Ramani took everything upon himself and released a press note in Tamil which is translated as “Considering the helping nature and the humanity supporting activities of my hero Raghava Lawrence, I had used the title Makkal Superstar in the film. This was an outcome of our love and affection towards Lawrence which did not surprise him. He immediately called and reprimanded me. He had also invited media friends to convey that only Rajinikanth is World Superstar and that he does not need Makkal Superstar title. I seek apologies on this and also need some time to take this title off from the film”.
