VIDEO: S JANAKI TEARS UP THINKING ABOUT SPB'S HOSPITAL DAYS - "51 DAYS KASHTAPATTARU...!"

Recounting her relation with the star, S Janaki recalls how she met Subramaniam, as she calls the singer. "Once I went to a competition to distribute prizes, and SPB was one among them. He sang beautifully in his own voice, not imitating any one. It was wonderful", she said.

"Since the time he came to Chennai, we had been working together, sang so many duets, did many stage shows, almost met each other every day - it was like he was our own family member. Thinking he had to suffer for almost 51 days at the hospital - it is really painful", Janaki welled up.
