“WE ARE NOT GOING TO COMPROMISE”

Music composer Ron Yohann after his debut film Maya, is working in Iravaakaalam and he has also signed his next, titled Pakshi directed by Jagadeesan Subu of Sigai fame. Lakshmi Priya plays the lead in this film.

Yohann elaborates, “Pakshi is a cross-cultural film; it can also be called as a road or a travel film. When you say travel, it amounts to exploring. It is completely opposite of what I have done till now. It is also musically driven. It has a huge scope for cinematography, music and sound design. It is a light-hearted, simple film with a fresh cast.

All of us are doing this project for our passion. There will not be any compromise and we are taking our time and are not hurrying. We have completed around 20 days of shooting. We are planning to send the film to festivals.

I have completed composing for one song, but it is yet to be recorded. We will have around 4-5 songs. Pakshi will be rooted and when it travels to different states, it offers me a lot of scope to musically explore. I will be experimenting with many Indian instruments to get that ethnic feel. I am very excited.”
