Ajith and Siruthai Siva’s Vivegam seems to have a crazy expectation in spite of the hike in ticket prices in Tamil Nadu. On this note, we had a quick chat with the proprietor of Rohini Silver Screens Nikilesh Surya, regarding his expectations and the talk that is going on in the theatre circuit about Vivegam post the change in ticket prices. An excited Nikilesh immediately said:
“I would not blame ticket prices to be a reason for reduction in theatre occupancy. It is only because of the content that theatres may go empty. If the content is attractive, audiences will anyways come and watch films. For theatres with multiple screens like ours, it’s essential to have one big film release every 2 months to support the run of the smaller films.
Post Baahubali, there has not been any movie worth mentioning in terms of big numbers at the box-office. However, for Ajith’s Vivegam we are expecting an all time record. The talk is extremely good and there is a very heavy competition among buyers for the film. This pre-release buzz for this Ajith film gives us hope that Vivegam could break all the records till date upon it’s release.”
Interestingly, Nikilesh also took to Twitter and posted the same. He said, “The numbers in negotiation for #Vivegam if effected will create a pre-release biz record in #Chengalpet #Thala Getting ready to rage.”
