Director and actor SA Chandrasekhar’s (SAC) next film as an actor is the biopic on Traffic Ramaswamy to be based on the life of traffic policeman Ramaswamy who has a lot of social concern and works towards the welfare of the society even at the age of 83.
The latest is that, actor and producer RK Suresh is said to play SAC's son in this biopic. It is to be noted that RK Suresh is an Ajith fan and even plays a staunch Ajith fan in his next film Billa Pandi. It is going to be interesting to see RK Suresh play the son of Vijay’s father SAC in this Ramaswamy biopic.
In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, SA Chandrashekar, filmmaker, and father of Vijay spoke about the various aspects surrounding Mersal and his son.
"Not just Mersal, many films have acted as a means to spread valuable messages to the society. The Constitutionally granted freedom of speech and expression allows us to do so, and it has been the case since the time of Dravida Kazhagam", he said.
Speaking on Vijay, he remarked, "A familiar film star has the responsibility to care for the society and talk about it through their films. He [Vijay] has been doing it for a while."
When asked about whether Vijay is taking the route to politics much like MGR, he said, "MGR is a role model. He ensured that he paved a path to create good citizens and good leadership.." Quoting Mersal, he reminded us that it takes an eon for a leader to form.
