The situation with the Tamil cinema strike has been pretty bad and there has been no movie related work happening for a while now. Addressing the press and media, FEFSI’s RK Selvamani spoke about the issues to be resorted. When he was asked about the stand that big stars like Rajinikanth, Vijay and Ajith must take regarding this issue, he said:

“They are all very big stars and they can help a great deal by analysing the situation and taking a stand. In fact, there are a lot of people who would get influenced by such big stars. They must use their power for the betterment of cinema. I suggest stars like Ajith and Vijay must unite for this cause as cinema is not at its best state at the moment.”
