Music Maestro, AR Rahman, who has been ruling the music industry as well our hearts for several years had earlier announced that he is stepping into the producer’s and the writer’s shoes for the very first time with ’99 Songs’ under the YM Movies banner which is also collaborated with the Jio Studios.
The film is based on a young and a passionate love story with music in its soul and will be directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. 99 Songs features debutants Ehan, Edilsy Varghese and Tenzin Dalha. The film will also feature Lisa Ray, Manisha Koirala, composer-drummer Ranjit Barot and Indian Ocean’s Rahul Ram in the supporting roles.
The film which was all set to hit the screens last year itself had to push its release date due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak. And now, finally, AR Rahman has taken to his Twitter handle to share the exciting news that the film is all set for its theatrical release.
The musical Maestro tweeted, “Happy to share that #99Songs will release on April 16, 2021, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Directed by @vishweshk and featuring the talented actors @itsEhanBhat & #EdilsyVargas.”
