“SHOULD I PLAY A LESBIAN IN BOLLYWOOD?” - REGINA CASSANDRA BREAKS UNHEARD STORIES!

In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Regina opened up about her acting career, the different experiences she’s had while filming for various films and so on. She also revealed the 3 secrets that are required to impress her.

Speaking about her acting career which started with the 2005 film ‘Kanda Naal Mudhal’, Regina said “I was 14 years old when I worked in that movie. Before the first shot, Laila ma’am asked if I was nervous. I replied saying that I was not at all nervous and was completely excited. Back then, I was very daring and I did not have so much responsibility. I enjoyed myself in front of the camera. I still do, but now, there’s this added responsibility.”

When asked about the movie ‘Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga’, Regina said “I had to play a semi-urban girl, who just ran a Xerox store. Pandiraj sir is a director who wants things to be perfect. It was a good and different experience for me to work in that film.”

Speaking about her role in her Bollywood debut ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’, Regina said “I played a lesbian in the movie. It was a small role, yet an impactful one. Many people asked me if I should play a Lesbian in my Bollywood debut. I took that part because it was such an impactful one and touches upon a necessary topic. The topic needs to be addressed. After doing that movie, I started getting messages from a lot of LGBTQ people stating that the part I played created an impact on many of their lives.”
