After directing two successful films in Minsaara Kanavu and Kandukondein Kandukondein, director and cinematographer Rajiv Menon is back with his next, Sarvam Thaala Mayam.
This film stars GV Prakash in the lead role and he plays a Dalit musician who fights against all odds to become a successful Mridangist. It is produced by Latha, the wife of Rajiv Menon.
The film premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the audience had an interesting QnA session with Rajiv and Latha, after watching the film. In this conversation, Latha revealed why GV Prakash plays a Vijay fan.
She said, "
The character had to have some skill of drum playing and this is why we made him a part of the Vijay fan club, to worship a movie star. So he gets some skill of playing the drums. This was because it would realistic and easy for him to transcend and learn the Mridangam."
