"A FEW COLLEAGUES IN DECCAN ARE DISAPPOINTED THAT THE MOVIE HAS..." - REAL MAARA'S BREAKING STATEMENT!

The film has been received well by the audiences and the film critics. It also featured Paresh Rawal, Dr. Mohan Babu, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna, Urvashi and many others in prominent roles. The book is based on GR Gopinath’s “Simply Fly”.

Now, the real Maara has taken to his social media to share, “A few school friends, army buddies and colleagues in Deccan are disappointed that the movie has not been true to the actual facts of my book / life depicted in Simply Fly. I tell them that it is fictionalised for cinematic effect but beneath the ‘masala’ there’s good meat!”

He immediately in a series of tweets tweeted that if the film was completely factual then it would be considered as a documentary and how the hero and the team members have sacrificed to portray the film. Check it out here -

Staying completely factual would have been a documentary. It has value but it is a different genre. A hero may seem ‘macho’ but is vulnerable and the movie shows ‘heroes’ need emotional support from wife and family to win, and team members often sacrifice more than the hero.

A wife can share the dream of the hero without sacrificing her own dreams. She can support the male without subordinating herself and losing her own identity and self esteem. On the contrary she can give a fillip and uplift the husbands spirits when it’s flagging.
