Yesteryear actress Raveena Tandon works predominantly in Hindi cinema. The 'Dulhe Raja' actress made her Tamil debut in director Suresh Krssna's 2001 Tamil action-thriller Aalavandhan, which starred Kamal Haasan in a dual role.
According to PTI reports, Raveena Tandon, along with National Award-winning choreographer, filmmaker and actor Farah Khan and television host Bharti Singh booked by Amritsar Police for hurting the religious sentiments of Christians in a TV show on Christmas eve.

In the wake of the recent developments, Raveena Tandon took to Twitter in order to clarify on the issue. The actress stated that their intention was not to offend the religious sentiments of anyone and apologized to those who were offended. Raveena Tandon also posted the video clip which carried the statements.
