Dubbing artist Raveena’s debut film as an actress is Vidharth’s recent release Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu (OKKM). The film has opened to a positive response and has garnered good reviews and with the help of a good word of mouth, it has picked up occupancy at the theatres.
In an exclusive conversation with Behindwoods, Raveena talked about her fears prior to the release of OKKM and the response post its release:
OKKM has received a positive response from critics. How has it helped you?
I am very happy about the positive response for OKKM.. I had only fear and was scared at first because I was at the shoot daily and I did not know what to expect. I was even unsure and anxious of how it would be to experience watching my first film in theatres but I am really happy it has come out good.
Your mom's first reaction after watching OKKM?
Actually, both myself and mom were scared at first. Especially during the shoot of the project, when I had to go there everyday and also because the movie was supposed to release in September 2016 but it got delayed. But after watching the movie, my mom was extremely happy and congratulated me for my work.
Any new offers after the release of this film?
I had been getting a lot of acting offers right from the time i signed OKKM. But I decided to take it slow and I have been hearing a lot of scripts. I am still waiting to sign my next and have decided to wait for the complete response post OKKM.
Wishes from the stars you have dubbed for?
Some of the stars that I dubbed for were very happy for me. Especially Madonna Sebastian and Amy Jackson congratulated me as soon as I told them about it. Even Aishwarya Rajesh wished me at the start.
Future projects in dubbing?
My future dubbing projects include the much awaited 2.0 (Amy Jackson), Thittam Poattu Thirudura Koottam (Satna Titus), Hara Hara Mahadevaki (Nikki Galrani), MOM (Malayalam) and Katha Nayagan (Catherine Tresa).
