Ratsasan, starring Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in the lead roles was one of the most critically acclaimed films to have released in the recent past. It was directed by Ramkumar of Mundasupatti fame and produced by Axess Film Factory. One of the reasons for the success of the film was the villain, played by Saravanan.
His character was kept under the sheets for a long time, and in an event yesterday, the makers revealed that it was Saravanan, who played the villain role. Talking to Behindwoods about his role and why it was kept covered, he said:
"Once the film released, everyone were asking about my character. I didn't ask, but my friends, people related to the director, media and others wanted to know who played the villain. The director managed to cover it up. Even Rajini sir saw the film and asked.
But later, Vishnu Vishal showed the photo to Rajini sir alone. Even Ajith Sir asked but we waited for the event to get over yesterday so that the character could be revealed."
