Rashmika Mandanna, the Kannada and Telugu actress made her film debut with the Kannada superhit Kirik Party alongside Rakshit Shetty. After which, she recently got engaged to Rakshit just before making a mark in the Telugu industry as well.
She is currently awaiting the release of Geetha Govindam, her film with Vijay Devarakonda. Meanwhile, she faced some negative talks and trolls after she posted the posters of Geetha Govindam on her social media handles.
Reportedly, a certain section of the fans took to trolling her for the romantic poses she had with Vijay in the posters of the film. She was criticised to have done this even after her engagement with Rakshit. Now, Rashmika had recently come out and responded to these trolls in an interaction with the media.
She said, "
When I uploaded this particular poster of Geetha Govindam, a bunch of people started posting mean comments. They need to realize that we’re human beings too. Some of us are targeted when they see our growth as an actor and since they’re fans of other actors, they post such comments.
Male actors romance other heroines even after getting married, but people have no problem with that just because they’re men! It’s like if a woman romances a guy onscreen after marriage, she loses her respect. It’s disgusting that people think this way There were many who were jealous that I was acting with Vijay and that I’m engaged to Rakshit!."
