Prakash Padukone, father of Deepika Padukone is a renowned badminton player who created a history in Badminton, 40 years ago. He was the first Indian to win the All England Badminton Championship. He was the World No.1 badminton player.
He was awarded the Arjuna award and the Padma Shri award by the government of India. Having been born to such a legendary father, Deepika has always been proud of her dad.
He stands as an inspiration not only to his daughter, but, also to his son-in-law, Ranveer Singh.
