Ahead of the release of Kaadan, directed by Prabhu Solomon and co-starring Vishnu Vishal, Rana Daggubati spoke about many things related to the film.
On how he bagged Kaadan, Rana said, “I had met Prabhu sir seven years back. I think he was done with Kumki at that time. I got a call from Eros asking if I’d be interested in a feature that will explore Man vs Nature and that it is going to be directed by Prabhu Solomon. It is a real version of the Jungle Book. The entire experience was very organic and new to me.”
Heaping praises on Prabhu Solomon, Rana calls him a very organic filmmaker who doesn’t want cinematic stuff in his movies. Coming after Baahubali, Rana has shed about 16-18 kilos for the film.
The movie is said to be based on a real-life incident that happened in Kaziranga. Rana filmed the movie even while he was undergoing a few health complications. He recounted a funny experience on sets: I used to always carry bananas or jaggery in my pocket. Some banana was sticking out and sensing that, about 15 elephants came running towards me, all at a time. It was a crazy experience.
