Ramarajan was admitted to The King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research in Guindy for treatment a few days back after he complained of breathing issues.
Now that he has returned from the hospital, he has issued a statement, extolling the efforts of the medical practitioners at the institute, with particular praise being directed towards Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Health Minister C Vijayabhaskar.
Earning the sobriquet "Makkal Nayagan", Ramarajan has proven his mettle as an actor, writer and a director in Tamil cinema. He was known for his rural entertainers that struck a chord with the audience.
His popular films include Enga Ooru Paatukukaran, Karagattakaran, Enga Ooru Kavalkaran and Paatuku Naan Adimai. He has also directed nearly 10 films; most of them were village-based subjects.
The actor was last seen in Medhai, which had released in 2012. Then and now, there are speculations of him trying to make a comeback to films; however, we haven't heard anything concrete for the last couple of years or so.
Nevertheless, we are relieved that he has made a full recovery and wish to see him in films at the earliest as well.
