There were a few reports on social media, saying that Rajinikanth's Kaala has been censored with U/A, with 14 cuts, by CBFC. 

When we got in touch with Vinod, the executive producer of Wunderbar Films, he clarified on the rumours, and said, "It is true that the film has been censored with U/A, but the other part of the news is not true. There were also news that the film was initially given an 'A' certificate, which is totally baseless. The CBFC members watched the film and censored U/A with very few cuts and not 14." 

As for now, this Pa.Ranjith directorial has been scheduled to release on April 27.
