Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi, the head of Kanchi mutt, passed away this morning, February 28. He was 82.

Rajinikanth has now shared his grief through his official Twitter space and also expressed his condolences to all the devotees of Jeyendra Saraswathi.

"பூஜ்யஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ காஞ்சி பெரியவருடைய ஆத்மா பரமாத்மாவுடன் இணைந்த இந்த நாளில், அவரை இழந்து வாடும் பக்தர்களுக்கு என்னுடைய ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கல்."
