The nationwide lockdown imposed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus has created a devastating impact on the economy, and the film industry is one of the badly hit sectors.
Actor Rajinikanth recently donated bags of rice and essential commodities to the members of the Tamil Nadu Thiraipada Iyakkunar Sangam (TANTIS).
Post that, TANTIS has released a presser thanking Rajinikanth for contributing relief materials voluntarily. Previously, Rajinikanth had also donated 50 Lakh rupees to FEFSI in order to support the livelihood of daily wage labourers of the Tamil film industry.
Rajinikanth will be next seen in Siruthai Siva's upcoming film Annaatthe. The actor will also be teaming up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for a project that will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan.
