Debutant Karthick Naren’s film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru aka D-16 starring Rahman which received unanimously positive reviews and an excellent word of mouth was also lauded by celebrities who called over the 22 year old director to congratulate him for his honest attempt which has worked big.
The movie which has been praised by one and all has been doing well in theatres, especially in the multiplexes and is approaching it’s 50th day. Inspite of big star’s films releasing post the release of D-16, it has still managed to pull in audiences and has not been removed from many theatres. On this note, Karthick Naren took to his social media handle to write out a post:
“#D16 has survived yet another week.Extremely proud & happy to announce that the film will reach its 50th day on 16th February.There was a point when I thought that getting a theatrical release would be our greatest accomplishment. D16 taught me an important life lesson.You will bump into days which are pitch dark but never loose hope at any cost.Sunrise might be just around the corner.Film making is more than a profession.”
The excited director has already started working on his second flick titled “Naragasooran” and he has got the stylish Arvind Swami to play the lead. It is touted to be a multi-starrer and the rest of the lead cast and crew is yet to be finalised.
