Radhika Prasiddha of Kuttram Kadithal fame will soon be seen in Vijay Milton directorial Kadugu, the teaser of which was released on July 1st. The film features Rajakumaran and Bharath as the male leads. Radhika talks exclusively to behindwoods about the film and her role in Kadugu.
"My character in Kadugu is completely different from the one I played in Kuttram Kadithal. I play a school teacher called Ebi in this film and she has a story behind. She is like an outsider and is new to the town. She has a reason why she is there in that town which explains her bold character. Such roles would be offered to heroines only after they reach a particular position in their career but I was fortunate to have been given such a meaty role in my second film.
Working with director Milton was a breeze. He knows what he wants. He acts out and shows it to you. He also asks you to give your options and variations in it. That was like pushing me a little and I really liked it.
It was a wonderful experience working with Bharath and Rajakumaran. They were very inspiring to watch. Every time Bharath had to get into an action scene, he made sure he did his work out and warmed up so that he can give his best. This is the first time I was part of an action scene and it was a new experience for me.
I was very impressed with Rajakumaran. The first time I met him, he was doing an emotional scene and he was totally into the character. Most of the time, he was in his puli vesham costume. It must have been very difficult for him. Once I was eating but he could not do it because of his costume. It was inspiring to watch people suffering so much to get one scene right".
Kadugu is done and the team would soon announce the release date.
