38 YEARS AND STILL GOING STRONGER!

In 1978, when an awkward looking teenager from London made her entry as heroine in Bharathi Raja’s Kizhakkae Pogum Rail, no one including the girl herself would have imagined that it is going to be one long emphatic stay in Kodambakkam.

We are talking about Radhika who is completing 38 years in Kollywood this year.

The girl whose Tamil was mocked at in the early years, can give any orator a complex now. Radhika has climbed up the ladder of stardom with her sheer hard work and perseverance.

Her filmography boasts of diverse films like Niram Maaradha Pookkal, Indru Poi Naalai Vaa, Pokkiri Raja, Nallavanukku Nallavan, Paasa Paravaigal, Meendum Oru Kaadhal Kadhai, Kizhakku Cheemaiyilae, Sippikkul Muthu and Jeans to name some. In the recent years, she was also seen in Theri, Thanga Magan, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Saguni in pivotal roles.

In Television, she is the uncrowned queen and is behind some successful soaps with her production banner Radaan Mediaworks.

38 years in a field like films is not an easy job and we congratulate the lady on this huge feat! Rock on ma’am!
