The good news for Tamil cinema has finally come in and the strike has come to an end with films set to release from this Friday (April 20). Shooting and other film-related work will also start off. The rates that were issued by digital providers Qube cinema have now been slashed and when Qube’s co-founder Senthil Kumar was asked about how they would cope up with these rates, he took to Twitter and said:
“Yes, these are impossibly difficult rates for us but we were forced to agree to try this for an interim period of 6 months by the theatres who were desperate that the strike should end as they were at the end of their tether with even Telugu content blocked”.
