The Government of Tamil Nadu had earlier given permission to commence the post-production work of films that were at a halt due to the nationwide lockdown, from the 11th of May. Post-production work of many movies have begun.
Meanwhile, in a latest plea to the Honourable Chief Minister of the state, the Producers’ Council of the state met the Minister of Information and Publicity Mr. Kadambur Raju at the State Secreteriat to hand over their request to the Government.
The Producers’ Council have thanked the Government for their permission to commence the post production work of the films. They have also mentioned that all the work that is happening is being carried on by practising Social Distancing and proper sanitization.
They have now requested the State’s permission to resume shooting for over 50 films that are at the near end stage, with 600 crore rupees worth of Investments being at stake. It is also mentioned that the shooting work will happen with only 50% of the crew, by practising all health and safety measures, if the permission is granted.
