Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar entered the film industry after spending a while at the Television industry. She made her silverscreen debut in Rathna Kumar's Meyaadha Maan opposite Vaibhav. Following this, she also bagged a role in Pandiraj's film with Karthi titled, Kadaikutty Singam. The film released 3 weeks back and is still running successfully.
Speaking exclusively to Behindwoods about this, she talked about actors getting into politics. She said: "We always expect things from actors. Whatever dialogues they speak on screen, we tend to relate it to their real lives. This is not right. Everyone here is interrelated through politics. If you open facebook and look at your timeline, you'll realise politics is something that we all talk about."
Further, she when asked if she supports Rajini or Kamal, she added "There is nothing for me to support in this. Both of them have only announced their party name and symbols. Just because 2 big icons have entered politics, we can't blindly bank on them. It is not a 2 hours 30 minutes film. If they win elections, they have to lead us for 5 years. I like Kamal and Rajini Sir. I will go to First Day First show of their films. That doesn't mean my political views will coincide with theirs."
