LKG is an upcoming film that has RJ Balaji in the lead role, with Priya Anand, Nanjil Sampath, JK Ritheesh, and others playing crucial roles. The film is directed by KR Prabhu and produced by Ishari K Ganesh.
The team had released the trailer a few days back, which received a great response from the audience. Now, the team had organised a press meet, and RJ Balaji spoke in detail about how Priya Anand accepted the role.
He said: "I had doubts if any Tamil-speaking heroine would be ready to do this role, since the male lead is a comedian(me). Priya Anand was one of the first people I narrated the script to, and she readily accepted it."
Priya Anand replied saying: "It's been a long time since I did a Tamil film, and I'm speaking in Tamil. I'm meeting you all after a long time. Thanks Balaji for this role. I guarantee you, this role is as good as the role I did at Ethirneechal.
RJ Balaji has been entertaining us in all the mediums. I thank the director and the technical crew for all the support. We enjoyed a lot during the shoot, and I agreed hoping that the film will get a good response.
I have limited political knowledge, but I learnt a lot. So, this is not just a comedy movie. I would like to clarify that all the dialogues I uttered in the film, are written by Balaji. I'm not related to them in any way. It is a very important film for this generation.
I would also like to thank Balaji for writing such a character for me. It is not a character that the hero would go behind, and fall in love. The women are rocking the workforce in India right now, and I represent them. We both have been visiting a lot of colleges now, and wherever we go, he has been speaking for women empowerment and has been respecting all women. Thanks Balaji for writing a respectable character for me."
After this, RJ Balaji again spoke to the audience. "Nowadays, most U films have scenes that abuse women, and disrespect them. But this film does not have such scenes, and you can watch this with your family."
