His latest films were  back-to-back hits with the Lal Jr. directed dramedy, Driving License and the action drama, Ayyappanum Koshiyum which was helmed by Sachi. Both films were well-received. Te actor's next film is expected to be Aadujeevitham.

Aadujeevitham will be a Blessy directorial. The film is an adaptation from the survival-drama of the same name written by Benyamin that tells the story of Najeeb, a migrant worker from Saudi Arabia, who survives the deserts by herding goats.

Prithviraj recently shared a fan-made video commemorating 9 years of Urumi. Cinematographer Santhosh Sivan directorial 'Urumi' is one of the best period dramas of Malayalam. The movie starring Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer movie spoke of the Chirakkal Kelu, his revenge story.

'Urumi' was set in 16th century. Actors Prabhu Deva, Genelia D'Souza, Amol Gupte, Jagathy Sreekumar, Nithya Menon, and Alexx O'Nell play the lead roles while it also features Tabu, Arya and Vidya Balan. The movie has won several awards including State awards and International film awards.
