But did you know not Nagma but Madhuri Dixit was the first choice for the heroine's role? This was confirmed to TOI by producer KT Kunjumon who said: I had distributed her films in Kerala. We approached her, but she didn’t have the dates. And someone referred Nagma, and she came on board.

Shankar went on to give many hits later. He is at present working on Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead. Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet and Sidharth are a part of the cast too.
