According to reports, a police complaint has been filed by BJP members against actress-politician Ramya, aka Divya Spandana, for instigating Congress supporters to start fake Facebook accounts and engage in campaigning for the party.
Ramya, who earlier served as Member of Parliament for Mandya, Karnataka, is now the head of Congress' digital media team. Allegations say the during a recent party meet, she encouraged supporters of the party to increase the volume of campaigning by using fake Facebook accounts.
BJP members met Bangalore police to file a complaint against Ramya for committing an offence under the IT act.
Actor Kamal Haasan and Ramya (aka Divya Spandana) will participate at the ‘India Conference’, one of the largest student-led conferences focusing on India in the USA. Organized by the graduate students of Harvard University, it is held at the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School campuses.
The 15th edition of the conference will be held on February 10-11, 2018 in Boston.
