A radio jockey turned actor - RJ Balaji is also a presenter, comedian, director and cricket commentator. This multi-talented person has delivered two back-to-back hit films 'LKG' and 'Mookuthi Amman' that went on to garner positive reviews. The actor, who is busy with the tamil commentary for the current IPL season that resumed recently, has a lot on his kitty.
The actor will be seen playing the lead in the Tamil remake of 'Badhaai Ho', which starred Ayushmann Khurrana in the original. The film dealt with what a family goes through when the parents have a kid at a considerably older age. The remake is said to be bankrolled by Valimai producer Boney Kapoor along with Zee Studios and Romeo Pictures.
While Ayushman Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra played the lead pair in the original version, RJ Balaji and 'Soorarai Pottru' actress Aparna Balamurali will reprise the roles respectively in the remake which is reportedly titled as 'Veetla Viseshanga'. Yogi Babu will be seen in a guest role in this flick and he had also tweeted about it while joining the crew at Coimbatore.
Sources close to us had earlier revealed that the shooting of this upcoming film kickstarted a few weeks back at Coimbatore and the entire shooting is planned for more than 40 days at a stretch. Now, RJ Balaji has confirmed that the movie's shoot has wrapped up. He took to twitter and said, "It’s a WRAP for #TeamRJB3 !!! 40 days !!! Thank you God, my wonderful team and the people of Coimbatore for an amazing shooting experience..! We promise you, one of the biggest family entertainers of 2022 !!!"
