Actor Karunakaran, who is famous for his roles in films like Jigarthanda, Pizza, Iraivi, etc., has been caught in a controversy. His latest film to release - Podhu Nalan Karudhi, hit the screens on February 8, alongside Dhilluku Dhuddu 2.
The producers and director of the film have officially filed a complaint stating that the actor had threatened them with murder, when they questioned him about his absence at the film's promotions. They had released an audio tape as proof, that had Karunakaran abusing the director, and threatening the producer.
When Behindwoods got in touch with the Thodari actor, he said: "They are doing this for the film's publicity. I am out of Chennai, and I'll give a detailed statement soon."
We have to wait and see what Karunakaran says, and how things pan out. Stay tuned for further updates about this. The film was directed by Zion, and produced by AVR Productions.
