Veteran Malayalam actor and director Lal's son, Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr., was recently booked by Panagad Police and a petition was filed against him by an actress, who claimed that the makers of the film Honey Bee 2 failed to give her payment. After a few arguments, the director Lal Jr. shot the film, with a body double.
Now, sources close to us reveal that the actress' side and Lal's side members met, unofficially outside the court and solved the issue after talking with each other. As a result, the actress has now withdrawn her petition.
Malayalam actor and director Lal Jose's son, Jean Paul Lal, popularly known as Lal. Jr. has been booked by the Panagad police officials for making derogatory comments against his last film's actress.
It is reported that during the shoot of Honey Bee 2, he didn't pay the actress for her work and when the actress asked for the payment, Lal Jr. has apparently refused and also made sexually explicit comments on her. As a result, the police officials have booked a case against Lal Jr, actor Sreenath Bhasi, and two other technicians Anoop and Anirudh.
However, Lal, in his statement, has said that the actress shot only for two days, that too only for one scene, for which the remuneration was 50,000. But on the eve of the second day, she went out of the shoot, as she felt uncomfortable shooting, and hence they had to go for a body double. So, apparently Lal didn't pay her, but now, she is said to be demanding a ransom of 10 lakhs. Lal also added that he would deal with this case legally.
As there are two different views on this issue, the police officials have been enquiring both the sides to get clarity.
