Actor Saravanan has acted as the lead hero in films like Vaidehi Vandhachu, Parvathi Ennai Paaradi, Pondati Rajyam etc., However, his character 'Sithappu' in the film Paruthiveeran, directed by Ameer shot him to fame.
There were rumours going around that he was affected by swine flu and is taking treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. Now, he has quashed all those rumours by releasing a statement to the press.
The statement read: "I was in Salem when I got sick. After getting treated there, I came to Chennai, but the sickness stayed on. So, I got admitted to a private hospital here. 3 days later I was discharged because they diagnosed it as a normal fever and finished the treatment.
After coming home, a lot of people have been calling me and enquiring about my health thinking I was hit by swine flu. I would like to clarify that I don't have swine flu. I'm doing fine now. "
