MERSAL SPEECH CONTROVERSY: ''I WILL SPEAK THE SAME EVEN IF AJITH INVITES ME''

Director - Actor Parthiepan was one of the guest speakers at the audio launch of Vijay's Mersal, which happened yesterday (20th August).

He praised Thalapathy Vijay for being one of the topmost celebrated actors in Kollywood and also talked about his film's box office collections. This speech of his didn't go well with a section of an audience, who were said to be disappointed with his speech. So Parthiepan took to Facebook this morning to clarify on this issue.

He posted, "காசுக்கு மாரடிக்காத
Mass-ஆன பேச்சுக்கு
மாசு நிறைந்த ஏச்சுக்கு ஆளானது
இதுவே முதன்முறை!
வாயார/மனதார வாழ்த்துவது
என் மேடை நாகரீகம்.
அவர் அழைத்தாலும்
தலை நிமிர இப்படி சொல்வேன்.
"வேகத்தை விட
விவேகம் பெருசு-ஆனா
விவேகத்தை விட
அஜீத்தே பெருசு!"-நான்
கலைஞர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் நண்பன்.ஆனால்
சினிமாவுக்கு மட்டுமே ரசிகன்.
'ஆளப்போறான்(?)சிறந்த(?)மனிதன்(?)
வாழப்போறான் விவசாயி'-அதுவே
நம்பிக்கை நிறைந்த என் பேச்சின்

This post is roughly translated as, "I don't go behind money to deliver stage speeches, but for the first time, there is so much negativity for my mass speech. Speaking out wholehearted appreciations are my stage culture and I will speak the same, even if he (Ajith) invites me. Wisdom (Vivegam) is bigger than speed (Vegam), but Ajith is bigger than Vivegam.
