Parthiban the multi talented personality has come out with a song for Chennai that sounds lighter outside but with a philosophical meaning inside. The song titled as Beep-2016- Iththutha Mikitha Lakutha is composed by C Sathya, penned by Parthiban himself that features Samuthirakani, Mayilsamy, Santhosh Prathap and others.
Talking to behindwoods exclusively on this, the Naanum Rowdy Dhaan actor states, “Post the Chennai floods, many thoughts were crossing my mind. I always believe that my sorrow should not be shared, but happiness definitely needs to be distributed. After the floods, I wanted to get back to my routine, collect the pieces and carry on with life. I wanted my Chennai people also to do the same. That’s when the ‘beep’ song controversy was ruling the headlines. I made the first line of the song as ‘beep beep oodhuda…thoo thoo thookki podada, onnoda sogatha dustbinla. I wanted to change a negative aspect into a positive one.
Through my song I want to say that we should move on and not be caught up in yesterday. We have not brought anything with us and hence there is nothing to feel sad about losing material things. And even when Chembarambakkam Lake gets breached, we can tide over that as we have with us our powerful youth army.
Music director Sathya’s role should be lauded in this as within a short time, he came up with a perfect tune”.
It sure is a notable effort Partiban! Way to go!
